Rebel Wilson Began Her "Year of Health" Journey in 2020

The year of 2020 was all about optimizing wellness for Wilson. The celeb shared a photo carousel of herself walking on the beach and captioned the post, "Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called "The Year of Health" – so I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I've just had but I'm going to do it! Who's with me in making some positive changes this year?"
She Inspired Many

Fans were quick to show their support and gain endless motivation from Wilson's journey.
One Instagram user commented, "You are inspiring me! I'm following your year of health for inspo! Thank you," while another wrote, "Thank you for being such a positive inspiration! You have motivated me to get on a healthier course! You're awesome! I think if others can do it, I have no excuse not to do my best and get healthy."
She Went to an Austrian Health Spa

During an episode of Apple Fitness+'s Time to Walk audio series, Wilson revealed that, during her visit to an Austrian health spa, she learned something that completely changed her fitness game.
Wilson shared, "The Austrian doctor said to me, "'Rebel, the best way for you to lose unwanted body fat is just simply walking. Doesn't have to be high-intensity, doesn't have to be uphill, just moderate walking an hour a day. And if you can do that, for you, for your body type, it's, like, the best way to lose unwanted body fat.'"
She Learned the Power of Daily Walks

This inspired Wilson to start taking daily walks.
"What was so interesting is that, like, you come to this amazing place that has all the best high-tech stuff in the world for health, and then the thing that they recommend is something that you could do anywhere in the world, and you don't have to have anything to be able to do it apart from the ability just to go for a walk," the celeb added.
Walking Served as a "Simple Solution" for Her

Wilson found comfort in knowing that something as simple as taking a daily walk can make a major difference in her health and well-being.
"I found that really comforting because it was, like, a simple solution to something that I thought a lot about before because I always thought, 'Oh gosh,' like, I would train at the gym, you know even when I was at my heaviest, like hardcore and do weights and do things where you just feel absolutely exhausted afterwards, and I didn't actually need to be doing that. Like, it's great to do that if you're working for a particular, like, cardiovascular goal, but my goal was just to get healthier and was to lose the body fat that my body didn't actually need and want," Wilson said.
She Hiked

Wilson shared so much of her "year of health" journey on Instagram, and fans were incredibly inspired by it.
In one post from October 2020, the actress posted a photo of herself on a hike and captioned it, "Happy Sunday everyone! Gearing up for a great week ahead x this week was super busy but I got up super early 3 times (6am) and went on a hike…even did a couple of 100m sprints to get the heart rate even higher (although my 'sprint' is probably someone else's 'slow jog') but I felt proud of myself and now only 3kg's away from my goal weight!"
