She Quit Eating Junk Food

Ariana often gets accused of having an eating disorder. However, she maintains that she majorly slimmed down when she quit eating processed foods. She Eats Organic

You also won’t find Ariana eating foods with chemicals in preservatives in them. She revealed to The Mirror that she has abided by an organic diet her entire life. "I've eaten organically since I was little,” she said.

Her Diet Is Produce-Centric

Because she is vegan, Ariana’s diet involves tons of produce. “It is tricky dining out, but I just stick to what I know–veggies, fruit, and salad–then, when I get home, I’ll have something else," she told The Mirror.

Ariana is a big fan of berries. "I've had at least five strawberries a day since I can remember. They're my favorite food!" she revealed in one tweet. Her Family Tries to Get Her to Eat Meat

While she will indulge in plant-based meatballs, Ariana claims her family is constantly trying to get her to indulge. “I don’t think they forget; I think they don’t want to remember,” she joked on the Hot Ones podcast about her family offering her non-vegan Italian food. 'My nonna always offers me meatballs and I'm like ‘No, thank you, I’m still plant-based.’”

She Loves Smoothies

Pasternak told Popsugar in 2017 that the singer is a fan of his smoothies. “She makes a lot of my smoothies,” he said. “So for the body-reset smoothies, she’ll make the white smoothie, red smoothie, and green smoothie.”

Meghan Trainor is flaunting her washboard abs on the I Heart Jingle Ball tour. In a new social media post the mother-of-two shows off her moves – and her seriously slimmed down figure – in a two-piece Mrs. Clause inspired look, wowwing her fans. How did the singer get in her best shape after welcoming her second child in January 2023? Here are 10 things we know about her diet and exercise routine.

Her Kids Are Her Fitspiration

Meghan is motivated by being a mother. "I think when you have a kid, you just realize, 'Wow, life is beautiful and precious. I want to be the best for my kid.' I've never been more motivated," she told Parents. "I look at Riley and think, 'I'm going to do anything I can to live forever.’"

She Lost One Pound Per Week

According to Meghan, slow and steady wins the weight loss race. She told People that she lost weight “the healthy way, the long way, the one pound a week way,” she said. “And it's a proud accomplishment that I never thought I could ever do.”

She Pays Attention to Portion Size

While she hasn’t divulged specific details about what she eats, Meghan has said that she eats as healthy as possible and understands the importance of eating in moderation. "I learned that I do like healthy food, and I learned what portions mean," she told Entertainment Tonight Canada.

Daily Exercise

Meghan told Entertainment Tonight Canada that she was committed to daily exercise. “I was like, 'If I can survive a C-section, I can do anything.' And I did," she said. "I was very dedicated, and I started seeing the pounds come off one week at a time, one pound. I was like, 'I'm fighting.'"

She Got Strong for Her Tour

Meghan was also motivated to get strong for her The Timeless Tour this fall. “I'm feeling fit. I've never been so fit,” she told People. “I already told my household. I was like, ‘I am training for the Olympics, okay?’ I want to train and eat clean, and feel good when I’m dancing and singing.''

Strength Training

Meghan’s workout of choice is strength training. Her trainer, Rebecca Stanton, recently shared a video of the two at the gym together. Their session consisted of lots of squat and lunge variations and using free weights doing lots of slow reps.

She Doesn’t Focus on Numbers

LAS VEGAS - SEP 19: Meghan Trainor at the iHeart Radio Music Festival Night 1 at MGM Grand Resort and Casino on September 19, 2014 in Las Vegas, NVShutterstock

"Because I've seen so many people on TikTok now open up, and I'm like, 'Here's what it looks like to be 180 pounds.' Everyone's body's so different," People. "You could see a girl who's really tall in a bikini, showing off her 185 pound body or something. And I'm like, 'Wow. It's so interesting how weight sits differently on everyone.' Numbers are just numbers. Whatever makes you feel the healthiest is where you should live."

She Has Dabbled in the Paleo Diet

A few years back, Meghan told HollywoodLife that she was following the caveman style diet. “I’m working out! I’m trying to be healthy. I eat all Paleo and I learned smaller portions,” she said.

She Doesn’t Weight Herself

“I can’t get on that scale,” Meghan told Hollywood Life. “It’s like — you gain muscle weight and you’re like, ‘what’s going on?.’ So [I’m] just living life. I’m just trying to be happy and eating healthy foods. I know when I eat something bad I have a horrible stomach ache and it’s just poison. I can’t eat stuff like this!”

She Does Workout DVDs

Trainor is a fan of at-home workout DVDs, specifically Shaun T’s video series called Insanity. The videos are 25 minutes long and each focuses on something different — for example cardio, ab intervals, or total body circuit training. She called the method "amazing." The star of the Netflix hit Our Little Secret has experienced a recent glow-up, looking younger than she did a decade ago. Here is everything you need to know about the diet, workout, and wellness routine responsible for her ageless beauty, body, and overall happiness.

She Does Pilates

When describing her day to Flaunt, Lohan reveals that her mornings in Dubai, where she lives with her husband and son, involve a certain workout. “I do anything that anyone else does in their daily life. I’m up with my son in the mornings, I do breakfast with him, go to my pilates, come home for lunch, and go to the park, the same things that any normal mom would do in their daily life,” she says.

She Loves Fried Chicken

In 2020, on her podcast The Lohdown with Lindsay Lohan, she and her sister Aliana discussed their favorite snacks and fast food restaurants, playing "This or That" regarding their food favorites. When asked to choose between KFC or Popeyes, she couldn’t. However, she did cop to preferring KFC's coleslaw and chicken but mashed potatoes and gravy from Popeyes.

She Likes Starbucks Green Tea

Lohan is a tea drinker. Her choice between Starbucks and Dunkin'? The former, due to the fact that their iced green tea lemonade is her favorite.

She Maintains That “Everyone’s Getting So Thin Now,” Because of Ozempic

She Didn’t Pressure Herself to “Snap Back” After Childbirth

Lindsay told Bustle that she is proud of her body after having a baby and didn’t cave to the pressure to “snap back” when her son was born. “I was so attached to [Luai] that my last thought was going on a treadmill. I feel like we put so much pressure on ourselves to have to look ‘good’ so soon, but you look so beautiful [postpartum]. Give yourself time,” she said.

Lindsay carefully curates what she is exposed to online, avoiding fashion for the most part. “My stuff is positive manifestations and baby foods,” she told Bustle. She likes to be surrounded by “positive people,” she added. “People, places and things I’m a big believer in, and that definitely has shaped more of who I am today.”

She Exercises for Mental Health

Lindsay focuses on the mental health aspects of working out. “People forget about that part of it and will often just focus on the physical benefits. But when you work out, you're also getting endorphins that make you feel good, you sleep better, and you don't seem to stress out as much. I also like the idea that when you work out, you're taking time for yourself. It's self-care,” she told Health.

She Runs

Having “a routine” is key when it comes to exercise, she says. “That's really important to me. I work out three or four days a week. I'm not an outdoor runner, but I love the treadmill. I'll just put my headphones on, put the treadmill on an incline, and alternate between speed walking, jogging, and sprinting,” she told Health.

She Focuses on “Balance” with Her Diet

What is her diet? “I try to focus on balance. I love cooking and looking at recipes, so that's something that helps me incorporate healthy foods. And I don't have a sweet tooth. Sometimes I do crave fast food. When I do, I'll go for a kids' meal—that's my trick. My fiancé and siblings all make fun of me for it. I really only do that once in a blue moon. Again, it's about balancing those things with lots of other healthy, nutritious options,” she told Health.

She Meditates Daily

She also gets her zen on. “I meditate daily. Once a day, I take 10 to 15 minutes, and I do some breathing work paired with some spiritual prayers. It gives me time to focus,” she told Health. “I will actually go into the bathroom to meditate. I turn on the shower and leave it running while I do it. It may sound weird, but the sound of the water calms me—it's cozy and feels like no one can bother you.” And if you enjoyed this article, take advantage of these 15 Quick Ways to Lose Body Fat Percentage in a Week.

Workouts don’t have to be complicated to be effective, and they don’t have to be long. Brianna Joye is a fitness trainer and the founder of City Girls Who Walk, who has a following of over 1.1 million people on Instagram. She is famous for sharing her realistic workouts that help people get into shape fast. One of her recent videos promises a full upper body and torso workout in just a few exercises. “3 moves to sculpt your arms & waistline,” she writes in the video, adding in the caption that her “fav exercises” will help you get a “strong core.” Here is what you need to know about the workout – and everything else about Brianna’s approach to fitness and diet.

3 Moves to Shape Your Arms and Waistline

She suggests doing three rounds of the exercises.

  • Plank pull through x 12
  • Wood chopper x 12 (Don’t forget to do the other side, she reminds)
  • Russian twist x 12

Here Is What She Eats in a Day

Brianna reveals what she eats in a day in a TikTok video. For breakfast, she eats sliced bananas and a spoonful of peanut butter. Next up a snack of greek yogurt, walnuts, honey and berries, followed up by a Koia protein shake. For lunch she has a spicy chicken caesar lettuce wrap, and dinner, a harvest bowl with sliced chicken, broccoli, sweet potato, and avocado topped with hot honey. And dessert? A donut!

She Goes Running

Brianna runs on the treadmill. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.

She Drinks This “Debloating” Green Juice

In an Instagram video Brianna revealed her recipe for a “debloating” green drink. The “best green juice recipe” starts with a cup of pineapple. “We're doing two lemons, just a couple pieces of ginger, a couple pieces of celery, and one whole cucumber. We're just going to put it all in one handful of organic spinach, and then we are using some coconut water (“for some added electrolytes”) but you can also use water. Then, you blend the mixture. “Once it's blended, you're just going to pour it into a bowl, and then you want a strainer on top of it. I'm just using a cheesecloth. Then you're just going to lift, so all the pulp gets out of it and we're just going to squeeze,” she says.

She Makes Healthier Versions of Her Favorite Meals

Another habit of Brianna’s is making healthier versions of her favorite foods. For example, she has shared recipes for “healthier hot Cheetos,” pasta chips, and Big Mac low-carb, high protein taco burgers.

💪🔥Body Booster: If you don’t have a lot of time to invest in exercise, try doing mini workouts – like Brianna’s – a few times a day.

This month, Kylie Kelce dropped her first episode of Not Gonna Lie, her Spotify podcast, and it soared to the top of the charts. While she happens to be married to former NFL star Jason Kelce, the reason why people adore the mother of three (soon to be 4!) is that she is totally laid back, real, and relatable. And her approach to diet, fitness, and self-care is definitely on-brand. Body Network has a lowdown of 10 down-to-earth ways in which Kylie Kelce stays in shape.

She Indulges in Fries, Tomato Pie, and Cheesesteaks

A Philly girl born and bred, Kylie indulges in the local cuisine – especially at Lincoln Financial Field. “My go-to in the stadium is probably [Chickie’s and Pete’s] Crabfries. Or the braided pretzels, they're so good,” she told Eating Well. “At home, I would say probably a tomato pie, and if you want to get more specific, a Carlino's tomato pie—big fan. But then the best way to balance out all of the salty snacks is having a couple Lindor truffles. I think the best thing about this sort of idea of adding them to your game-day spread is that all of the snacks you talk about for game day are usually salty or savory, so to add in a little pop of chocolaty bliss is perfection,” she dished. As for her cheesesteak order? “I always go extra American cheese, fried onions. I love when it's chock-full of cheese. I will say I'm a Dalessandro’s girl, but I recognize that if you're going to someone’s favorite spot, you're going to get an outstanding cheesesteak. It's funny to me how each neighborhood gravitates towards a specific spot,” she said.

She Walks in the Morning

Kelce does a little “mom shutdown” in the morning, having her babysitter come early. “Then I actually go and walk for quite some distance just to clear my head. Sometimes, I'll answer emails while I'm walking. It's a really good way to sort of take a step back. It gives you perspective and you can get some energy out, you can clear your head, get some fresh air and do it without children because I think that sometimes that plays into your health and well-being to take that time for yourself. I also think that it's a good example for our girls that I'm going out to exercise and making sure that activity is part of our day. Once it gets warmer, we'll go on long walks together where we'll go find a leaf of this color or a big stick and a medium stick, we do that sort of stuff. But right now the idea of packing all of the toddlers up and wrapping them in a million layers, it's just, it is not it,” she told Eating Well.

Everything in Moderation

When asked about her definition of healthy eating she responded that eating well is balanced. “I like to live by the idea of everything in moderation. I don't love the idea of cutting anything out wholeheartedly unless your dietary restrictions require that. I just think that if you want a doughnut, you should have a doughnut,” she said.

She Eats Veggies Every Meal

Kylie does have on eating hack. “I make it a point to have vegetables in almost every meal, but that's because I enjoy them and mostly have found ways to enjoy them. If I want to have something that might be deemed as unhealthy, I have it within moderation so that I can still enjoy it,” she said.

She Prioritizes Hydration

Hydration is also important. Kylie told Eating Well that she is trying “her very best to drink more water.” According to the Mayo Clinic, hydration is important for a variety of reasons. Water helps get rid of waste through urination, perspiration, and bowel movements, keeps your temperature normal, lubricates and cushions joints, and helps protect sensitive tissues.

She Fuels Up with Protein in the Morning

Kylie starts the day off by fueling up with protein. “I’m a huge Good Culture cottage cheese person. It’s funny because there’s this whole trend of people obsessed with cottage cheese now. Sometimes, I’ll throw some mandarin oranges in there, but I don’t need to make it complicated. I’m not trying to make ice cream out of this, I just want to eat cottage cheese and try to get some protein in my breakfast,” she told Well + Good.

She Drinks Coffee

Kylie is a coffee drinker. “I love Dunkin'. Specifically, they brought back their butter pecan flavor, and it has this chokehold on me that I can’t get out of—it is unreal. I go iced, and I’m one of those people who will have iced coffee until there’s snow on the ground,” she revealed.

She Loves Her Peloton Tread+

You can also find Kylie on the treadmill. “I am also a big Peloton fan. We recently got the Peloton Tread+. I've always found that treadmills are very hard on my joints and hurt my knees. The Peloton Tread+ has such a nice give to it. It's also quiet, so I can do it while the kids are sleeping or doing something upstairs,” she told Elite Daily.

She Enjoys Fitness Classes

Kylie might be in one of your Peloton classes. “I also like the structure of classes. Being an athlete my whole life, I would show up to practice and coaches would tell me what to do. Once I left, my ADHD kicked in, so the Peloton classes are super helpful. I have the app on my phone if I want to do Pilates or yoga,” she told Elite Daily.

She Lifts Weights

While Kylie has “lifted a couple of times” with Jason, she usually hits the gym without him. “If we're both home, one of us will go work out in the gym, and the other person will be with kids. We have to tag the team. We often ship passing in the night when it comes to working out.

Also, I don't know that I would want to lift with him frequently. That's usually his choice of workout. He's such a stickler about technique. I don't know that I want to be critiqued by someone who professionally lifted for many, many years,” she said. Are you doing everything you think you should to lose weight, but the pounds aren’t falling off? Lois Hughey is a weight loss warrior and coach who lost 15 pounds and kept it off. Now, she makes it her mission to help women over 50 “simplify nutrition and fitness” and regularly offers tips for sustainable fat loss in menopause on her social media feeds. In a new post, she reveals weight loss “solutions” that are actually part of the problem. “I swear my body changed overnight in my late 40s, and trust me—I tried all the ‘solutions.’ (Hint: none of them worked.)” she writes. She also reveals a few things to do instead to help you lose weight.

You Can’t Just “Eat Less”

First, you can’t just “eat less,” she says. “A caloric deficit is key, but if you’ve been dieting forever, eating less won’t fix your midlife metabolism. It just leads to cravings, exhaustion, and that “start over Monday” cycle. You can pull this off for a while but once you decide you are tired of feeling terrible, you go right back to eating more and regain whatever weight you lost. Keeping you stuck in a cycle of gaining and losing the same five-10 pounds over and over again,” she writes.

You Might Need to Move More, But Maybe Not

“You might need to ‘move more’… or not,” she continues. “You cannot cardio your way to sustainable fat loss. Without strength training, too much cardio (without a balanced approach that includes strength training) will leave you under-muscled and hungry.”

You Can’t Rely on Simply Cutting Carbs

“Cutting carbs won’t save you,” she explains. “Carbs are energy (and happiness!). No solid data says low carb helps healthy women in midlife lose fat faster.”

You Can’t Just Add More of X

Also, “Adding more of X (protein, carbs, workouts, meals, snacks) won’t work without a strategy,” she says. “More isn’t better if you don’t understand what your body actually needs.”

What to Do Instead: Make Sure Your Body Is Metabolically Healthy

What should you do instead? “Make sure your body is in a metabolically healthy place before you start cutting calories. This means good sleep, digestion, mood, energy and eating enough protein and overall calories before you try to lose fat,” she writes.

Walk and Lift Weights

Next, get your steps in. “Walk a minimum of 8000 steps a day and strength train 2-3 times a week. If you love cardio, add it in on top of that (allowing for some rest, too)” she writes.

Focus on Whole, Minimally Processed Carbs

You can eat carbs, but keep it healthy. “Keep 80% of your carbs whole, and minimally processed. Nuts, grains, seeds, veggies, and whatever fruit you want. The other 20% can be fun!” she writes.

Add Protein

“You may need to add more protein. You may need to add in a balanced snack. But if you add (even the good stuff) and go over your caloric needs, you will still gain weight. Many people believe that carbs are the enemy in terms of weight loss. However, this isn’t true. Sarah Bouchard is a Nutrition Coach & Educator who helps women over 35 “ditch diet confusion & simplify nutrition” for “Sustainable fat loss + healthy body composition,” she explains in her Instagram bio. In a new social media post, she reveals that at 40, she finally shifted her approach to nutrition and fixed some crucial carb mistakes. Here is what she did instead.

She Spent Years Avoiding Carbs

“I spent years not eating foods like bananas or potatoes, thinking they would spike my glucose and make me gain weight, yet I: couldn’t figure out why I gained weight, didn’t look ‘toned’ despite working out, was constantly exhausted, had regular binges & had out of control cravings,” she writes.

This Impacted Her Metabolism

“Why? I didn’t have a healthy metabolism DESPITE eating a clean low-carb diet & working out. Because I: wasn’t eating enough protein, was eating too much fat/too many calories, wasn’t moving enough throughout the day, and drank alcohol regularly which wrecked my sleep,” she says.

She Is Now the “Healthiest and Strongest” She Has Been at 40

“I’m now 40 and can proudly say I’m the healthiest and strongest I’ve ever been in my life, & I eat over 200g of carbs a day!” she continues. “The real key to metabolic health isn’t cutting carbs—it’s optimizing muscle, movement, sleep, & food quality. Here’s what actually improves insulin sensitivity (backed by science).”

Build Muscle

The first thing that improves insulin sensitivity is building muscle. “Muscle is like a glucose sponge—it pulls sugar out of your blood, reducing the need for insulin. Resistance training 2–3x per week improves insulin sensitivity by increasing glucose uptake (PMID: 23970530). Prioritize progressive overload to see the best results,” she says.

Move Daily (Beyond the Gym)

Next, in addition to workouts, you should move daily. “Long sitting hours = reduced insulin sensitivity. Break up sitting every 30 mins with ‘movement snacks’ (e.g., air squats, stair climbs). Even a 5-min post-meal walk lowers blood sugar & insulin response (PMID: 19207879),” she writes.

Prioritize Sleep:

She also stresses the importance of prioritizing sleep. “Lack of sleep disrupts insulin function. Less than 6 hours/night? Your body responds as if it’s prediabetic (PMID: 20371664). Aim for 7–9 hours of quality sleep, stick to a schedule, & limit blue light before bed, she says.

Eat Mostly Whole-Food Carbs

Finally, “It’s not carbs—it’s the type of carbs,” she says. “Whole grains, fruits, veggies, and legumes digest slower, keeping blood sugar steady (PMID: 11976158). Stick to mostly whole food carbs that are full of fiber and water & keep the ‘fun carbs’ around 5-20% within calorie balance!” she writes.

Be More Strategic

The bottom line? “Fixing your metabolism isn’t about fear—it’s about strategy. Lift weights, move often, sleep well, and eat whole foods. Small shifts = big results,” she says. And if you enjoyed this article, don't missthese 8 High-Protein Foods with Nearly Zero Calories That Melt Fat.
