Sabrina Carpenter is celebrating her Netflix holiday special – in a two-piece outfit. In a new social media post the singer flashes her abs while posing with Chappell Roan while celebrating the success of her show, A Nonsense Christmas. “A Nonsense Christmas bts starring the sweetest guests there ever was! Endless thank you’s to these lovely talented folks for being part of this special. Watch it now on @netflix,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps and videos. How does the Short and Sweet singer maintain her fantastic physique? Here are 10 of her top diet and fitness habits.

Gratitude List

Sabrina starts her day with a gratitude list. “This is very corny, but I do try to list things that I'm grateful for first thing in the morning, just so I can start off my day hopefully in an attempt to make it more positive, before anything else kind of gets into my head. It actually has [benefited] my days a lot, just by taking those couple seconds to do that, because I think otherwise it's very easy to read something that is either good or bad news, but it just affects you in a weird way,” she told Marie Claire.

Baths

Sabrina soaks away her aches and pains. “I do love a bath. I think baths have been a life-saver to me,” she told Marie Claire. Why should you consider taking one? Baths have been linked to better sleep and even found helpful to minimize anxiety and depression. One recent study even found that they may even boast cardiovascular benefits.

Exercise

Sabrina admits she is a “little [casual] with exercise,” she tells Marie Claire. “It’s not an every day thing by any means, but I try to balance it out however I can, and at least once or twice a week do something a little bit more disciplined. I will take a class of some sort, or do a workout at home.”

Sleep

Sabrina makes sure to get her beauty sleep. “I love to pass out without distractions. I can’t remember the last time I watched a TV show. By the end of the day, I feel like I’ve used up everything I have, so I just love sleep and getting to sleep as quickly as I can,” she tells Marie Claire. “[My bedtime] definitely changes. I’m in an unpredictable era right now. It can be 9 p.m.; it can be 2 in the morning. [My body] definitely gravitates to, like, grandma. I get tired early, but now I have ways and tricks and coffee that will keep me up if I need to be up. I’m at this age where I’m… I definitely am disciplined, but I am trying to also remind myself that if there’s a time in my life when I’m probably not going to sleep as much, it’s probably now.”

Water with Lemon in the Morning

No, Sabrina doesn’t start her morning with a shot of espresso. Instead, her morning habit is “drinking ice cold water with lemon every morning.” It “has been a very, very big staple in my life to make me feel like I'm awake, I'm alert, to wake up my skin, kind of get the blood pumping and flowing,” she told Vogue.

Pilates

Sabrina loves Pilates. “I’ll go to Pilates sometimes with friends of mine. I love working out with friends because it makes me feel like I’m not working out,” she told Marie Claire. According to the Mayo Clinic, there are many benefits to the workout, such as it “strengthens the body's inner core while increasing its flexibility, resulting in improved overall health.” It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Tea

“I went to Argentina when I was 17 and fell in love with this drink. I have a little refrigerator in my room full of the mint flavor. I prefer it over coffee because, for me, coffee can be a little hard to finish. It’s heavier, whereas this is a lot lighter. This is on my rider — it’s my everyday drink (that’s not water). If I’m in the studio really late and I need to stay up, there’s quite a lot of caffeine in it. It tastes like sweeter mint tea and feels like I’m doing a two-for-one: mouthwash and drinking something I enjoy,” she told The Strategist.

Dancing

Obviously, Sabrina spends a lot of time dancing and rehearsing for her performances. Dancing is a great workout for many reasons. Not only does it build strength and promote flexibility, but it helps you lose weight and even promotes cardiovascular function. A 2016 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine determined that people who engaged in moderate-intensity dancing were 46 percent less likely to develop heart disease or die from it than non-dancers. In comparison, moderate-intensity walkers were just 25 percent less likely to suffer heart health issues.

Cold Plunges

Sabrina recently jumped on the cold plunge bandwagon. “I've started doing ice baths like a little spiritual man,” she told Time. There is limited research supporting the benefits of cold plunges, which may include easing sore muscles, bringing body temperature down, increasing focus, improving sleep, and decreasing inflammation, per the Cleveland Clinic. However, a 2021 study found that cold water immersion therapy promotes basic post-sport recovery.

Strength Training

Sabrina is one of the many celebrities who strength-trains at The Dogpound. Here is a video of her and her sister, Sarah, working out together in New York, wearing ankle weights while doing donkey kicks, kettlebell squats, and more. According to the Mayo Clinic, strength and weight training help reduce body fat, preserve and increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories more efficiently. Strength training may also help you:

  • Develop strong bones
  • Manage your weight
  • Enhance your quality of life
  • Manage chronic conditions
  • Sharpen your thinking skills.

Lindsay Lohan is showing off her washboard abs in the latest issue of Flaunt magazine. In a new post shared by the star, she looks ab fab in a white tank top and low-slung jeans – but that’s not all people are talking about. The star of the Netflix hit Our Little Secret has experienced a recent glow-up, looking younger than she did a decade ago. Here is everything you need to know about the diet, workout, and wellness routine responsible for her ageless beauty, body, and overall happiness.

She Does Pilates

LOS ANGELES - MAR 15: Lindsay Lohan at the Clarins New Product Launch Party on the Private Residence on March 15, 2024 in Los Angeles, CAShutterstock

When describing her day to Flaunt, Lohan reveals that her mornings in Dubai, where she lives with her husband and son, involve a certain workout. “I do anything that anyone else does in their daily life. I’m up with my son in the mornings, I do breakfast with him, go to my pilates, come home for lunch, and go to the park, the same things that any normal mom would do in their daily life,” she says.

She Loves Fried Chicken

In 2020, on her podcast The Lohdown with Lindsay Lohan, she and her sister Aliana discussed their favorite snacks and fast food restaurants, playing "This or That" regarding their food favorites. When asked to choose between KFC or Popeyes, she couldn’t. However, she did cop to preferring KFC's coleslaw and chicken but mashed potatoes and gravy from Popeyes.

She Likes Starbucks Green Tea

Lohan is a tea drinker. Her choice between Starbucks and Dunkin'? The former, due to the fact that their iced green tea lemonade is her favorite.

Lohan loves to snack. On her podcast she revealed that one of her go-tos is wasabi peas. She is also a fan of shopping in the prepared food aisle to make healthy eating convenient.

She Maintains That “Everyone’s Getting So Thin Now,” Because of Ozempic

In an interview with Bustle, Lindsay discussed the Ozempic ear. “Everyone’s getting so thin now. I feel like everything always comes full circle again, so this is that moment, and this, too, shall pass. But it does seem like there’s pressure,” she says.

She Didn’t Pressure Herself to “Snap Back” After Childbirth

Lindsay told Bustle that she is proud of her body after having a baby and didn’t cave to the pressure to “snap back” when her son was born. “I was so attached to [Luai] that my last thought was going on a treadmill. I feel like we put so much pressure on ourselves to have to look ‘good’ so soon, but you look so beautiful [postpartum]. Give yourself time,” she said.

Lindsay carefully curates what she is exposed to online, avoiding fashion for the most part. “My stuff is positive manifestations and baby foods,” she told Bustle. She likes to be surrounded by “positive people,” she added. “People, places and things I’m a big believer in, and that definitely has shaped more of who I am today.”

She Exercises for Mental Health

Lindsay focuses on the mental health aspects of working out. “People forget about that part of it and will often just focus on the physical benefits. But when you work out, you're also getting endorphins that make you feel good, you sleep better, and you don't seem to stress out as much. I also like the idea that when you work out, you're taking time for yourself. It's self-care,” she told Health.

She Runs

Having “a routine” is key when it comes to exercise, she says. “That's really important to me. I work out three or four days a week. I'm not an outdoor runner, but I love the treadmill. I'll just put my headphones on, put the treadmill on an incline, and alternate between speed walking, jogging, and sprinting,” she told Health.

She Focuses on “Balance” with Her Diet

What is her diet? “I try to focus on balance. I love cooking and looking at recipes, so that's something that helps me incorporate healthy foods. And I don't have a sweet tooth. Sometimes I do crave fast food. When I do, I'll go for a kids' meal—that's my trick. My fiancé and siblings all make fun of me for it. I really only do that once in a blue moon. Again, it's about balancing those things with lots of other healthy, nutritious options,” she told Health.

She Meditates Daily

She also gets her zen on. “I meditate daily. Once a day, I take 10 to 15 minutes, and I do some breathing work paired with some spiritual prayers. It gives me time to focus,” she told Health. “I will actually go into the bathroom to meditate. I turn on the shower and leave it running while I do it. It may sound weird, but the sound of the water calms me—it's cozy and feels like no one can bother you.” And if you enjoyed this article, take advantage of these 15 Quick Ways to Lose Body Fat Percentage in a Week.

Losing weight doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, sometimes all it takes is making a few simple lifestyle changes. Lyndsey Getty, founder of Thought Method, was in her twenties when she decided that she wanted to get in shape. Within a year, she dropped six dress sizes, going from a 12 to a 6, and has managed to keep the weight off ever since. She recently opened up about her weight loss journey in an interview with Body Network.

Lyndsey Could Barely Fit in a Size 12

Getty explains that she was motivated to embark on her weight loss journey after seeing a photo of herself and her friends during a night out. “I barely recognized myself,” she told us.

She Had Been Buying Larger and Larger Sized Jeans

“That was just the tip of the iceberg, though. I had been buying larger and larger jeans for a while and had to unbutton my pants when I sat down to sit comfortably. I had a lack of energy and just felt heavy and bloated a lot. Something needed to change.”

Lyndsey Dropped Down to a 6 and Has Been the Same Size for a Decade

She doesn’t remember her exact weight at the time but struggled to fit into a size 12. “5’9, now I am a size 6 in the same type of pants and aim to stay between 145 to 150 pounds,” she says. She has managed to keep the weight off for a decade.

She Started to Exercise

Lyndsey started exercising, focusing on building muscle. “I am part of the camp that believes that there is no ‘toning,’ there is building muscle and a woman building muscle will not make her bulky,” she says.

Lyndsey Focused on Building Muscle

“I focused on an overall body workout and would do upper and lower body days. I love the shape of my glutes and my back looks amazing, men have asked me for my routine.”

She Boxes, Jump ropes, and Does Lots of Strength Training Exercises

Her go-to workouts include boxing and jump roping. “You burn the most calories in the shortest amount of time with jump roping so it makes logical sense and boxing is great for several reasons. It is exciting to see yourself getting better at something,

Lyndsey Feels More Empowered

I feel more empowered, worked through a lot of emotions and felt like I came back to myself and my body. It was very cathartic. I also do bench press, glute bridges, deadlifts and then single leg exercises like sidekicks and clamshells,” she says.

She Follows the 80/20 Diet

Neapolitan,Pizza,With,Spices,,Tomatoes,And,Cheese,Mozzarella,On,DarkShutterstock

In terms of diet, she follows the 80/20 diet. "So I will eat simple whole food around 80 percent of the time and then have pizza, burgers, fries, etc., and sweets the other 20 percent,” Lyndsey says. Some weeks, it's 70-30. If I start to gain weight, I correct.”

Here Is What Lyndsey Eats for Breakfast

Lyndsey starts her day with a filling breakfast, steel-cut oats with cinnamon and blueberries, greek yogurt with raspberries, or eggs with cottage cheese and avocado.

Rainbow Salads for Lunch

“For lunch I love rainbow salads. You take 5 veggies of different colors and layer them in a bell jar with some dressing in the bottom. I make 5 at a time, store them in the fridge and when it is time to eat I take one out, shake it and grab a fork,” she says.

She Has a Sweet Tooth

“I have a sweet tooth so I also love banana, oat milk and cocoa powder smoothies for a snack. For dinner I will do some type of protein with lentils and broccoli for a few days and then take-out the rest.”

Lyndsey Eliminated Fast Food and Processed Meats

She also stopped eating a few things. “I eliminated fast food and barely eat any processed meats,” she says. “They are low nutritional value and have a lot of connections to cancer, so if I want a sandwich, I will make a turkey and slice it,” Lyndsey says.

She Loves Her Body Unconditionally

Her biggest achievement when it comes to her body? “That when I look at my body, instead of picking it apart, I love it unconditionally, and I appreciate all it does for me. My body is fascinating. All of the systems that work intricately together are utterly remarkable,” she says.

People Compliment Her

“I’ll always be annoyed by my belly bulge, but I have learned to accept it. I started by telling myself that I love myself when I look in the mirror and working to accept my body as it is. People responded positively to me with this new confidence, and it felt really good to come back to myself, so that validation kept this perspective alive.”

Working Out Will Not Make You Bulky, She Maintains

fitness, sport, training, people and lifestyle concept - group of women with barbells flexing muscles in gymShutterstock

One fitness or nutrition myth she once believed but wants to debunk? “That working out will make me bulky or manly, and therefore, men will not be attracted to me,” she says. Even when she could deadlift 265 pounds, “men definitely did not lose interest, and I am annoyed I was encouraged to focus on external validation in the first place,” she says.

She Was Just More Compact

“When I was at my most muscular, I was just more compact and, honestly, kind of annoyed because I worked so hard for these muscles, and you could barely see them unless I flexed,” Lyndsey says.

If Her Pants Fit, She Is Happy

Alex Rice is on fire in her latest workout video. In a new social media post the certified personal trainer and fitness influencer, who boasts over 1.1 million Instagram followers, shows off her enviable figure – including her rock hard abs – in a sports bra and leggings while executing an upper body workout. “You go girl! Hit those spicy spots. Keep rocking it! 🔥” commented Alexia Clark. “Those chest press dumbbells are as big as you are!! 😍” added Olivia Ostrom. Here is everything you need to know about her routine and all of her other health and fitness habits.

She Warms Up

“Let’s warm up for leg day 🔥 your body will thank you!!” she captioned a post. “Most people know they should warm up, but don’t always know where to begin! I got youuu 🫡 you don’t have to do this exact routine, but I’m hoping it will give you some ideas for your warm up. She explained that her “warm up is usually circuit style” and that she does 2 to 3 rounds “about 10 reps each side.”

She Eats Overnight Oats

Alex recently shared her recipe for peanut butter and jelly overnight oats.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Old fashioned Oats
  • 1/2 Milk of choice (I start with a 1/2 cup and add more if/when needed)
  • 1 scoop @youcanbeam vanilla soft serve protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon PB
  • 1 tablespoon your choice of jelly
  • Topping: chopped strawberries

Directions:

  • Add milk, chia seeds, honey and stir to combine
  • Stir in your protein powder and oats
  • Add your PB& J and swirl it in (don’t mix it in completely- the goal is to have swirls of pb&j throughout)
  • Store in fridge in an air right container overnight or at least 3 hours
  • Add your toppings when you’re ready to eat 🍓

She Isn’t Afraid of “Putting on too Much Muscle”

Alex is not afraid of “putting on too much muscle” by lifting weights. “Workout however you want to, I stand by that!!! But to answer your question, no I’m not worried about putting on too much muscle, thank you! Plus, I wish putting on muscle was that easy,” she says in a post.

She Started Her Journey with “Cardio and Abs”

Alex recommends starting small before working your way up to heavy weights. “I feel my strongest when I’m lowering my barbell to the ground or holding 45lb plates in each hand 😅but I did start at the gym doing cardio and abs. Eventually made my way to lifting and never looked back!!” she captioned a post.

She Doesn’t Rush Through Her Workouts

Alex recommends taking your time when working out. “Take your workouts to the next level 😮‍💨 It’s easy to rush through a workout, but keep things controlled! Don’t let yourself go on autopilot when you’re lifting. Focus on that mind to muscle connection!” she wrote in a post, adding that you should not give up and instead, “push for that extra 1 or 2 reps,” and “do the exercises that are hard for you. It’s ok to fail, but how will you progress if you don’t keep trying!” she says.

Meghan Trainor is flaunting her washboard abs on the I Heart Jingle Ball tour. How did the singer get in her best shape after welcoming her second child in January 2023? Here are 10 things we know about her diet and exercise routine.

Her Kids Are Her Fitspiration

Meghan is motivated by being a mother. "I think when you have a kid, you just realize, 'Wow, life is beautiful and precious. I want to be the best for my kid.' I've never been more motivated," she told Parents. "I look at Riley and think, 'I'm going to do anything I can to live forever.’"

She Lost One Pound Per Week

According to Meghan, slow and steady wins the weight loss race. She told People that she lost weight “the healthy way, the long way, the one pound a week way,” she said. “And it's a proud accomplishment that I never thought I could ever do.”

She Pays Attention to Portion Size

While she hasn’t divulged specific details about what she eats, Meghan has said that she eats as healthy as possible and understands the importance of eating in moderation. "I learned that I do like healthy food, and I learned what portions mean," she told Entertainment Tonight Canada.

Daily Exercise

Meghan told Entertainment Tonight Canada that she was committed to daily exercise. “I was like, 'If I can survive a C-section, I can do anything.' And I did," she said. "I was very dedicated, and I started seeing the pounds come off one week at a time, one pound. I was like, 'I'm fighting.'"

She Got Strong for Her Tour

Strength Training

Meghan’s workout of choice is strength training. Her trainer, Rebecca Stanton, recently shared a video of the two at the gym together. Their session consisted of lots of squat and lunge variations and using free weights doing lots of slow reps.

She Doesn’t Focus on Numbers

LAS VEGAS - SEP 19: Meghan Trainor at the iHeart Radio Music Festival Night 1 at MGM Grand Resort and Casino on September 19, 2014 in Las Vegas, NVShutterstock

"Because I've seen so many people on TikTok now open up, and I'm like, 'Here's what it looks like to be 180 pounds.' Everyone's body's so different," People. "You could see a girl who's really tall in a bikini, showing off her 185 pound body or something. And I'm like, 'Wow. It's so interesting how weight sits differently on everyone.' Numbers are just numbers. Whatever makes you feel the healthiest is where you should live."

She Has Dabbled in the Paleo Diet

A few years back, Meghan told HollywoodLife that she was following the caveman style diet. “I’m working out! I’m trying to be healthy. I eat all Paleo and I learned smaller portions,” she said.

I’m just trying to be happy and eating healthy foods. I know when I eat something bad I have a horrible stomach ache and it’s just poison. I can’t eat stuff like this!”

She Does Workout DVDs

The age-old weight loss dilemma: How do you satisfy your hunger while cutting calories? Weight loss coach Dusty Young, who shed 100 pounds on his own journey, has cracked the code with a revolutionary approach that's taking social media by storm. The self-described "recovering fat kid" has compiled a game-changing list of 50 nearly zero-calorie foods that could transform your weight loss journey – and the best part? You can eat them virtually guilt-free.

"The math of weight loss is simple: you need to consume fewer calories than you burn," Young explains in his post. "But that doesn't mean you have to go hungry." His viral posts reveal a strategic approach to weight management that focuses on low-calorie, high-volume foods that keep you satisfied while maintaining a caloric deficit.

Young's method isn't just about what to eat – it's about how to eat smart. He advocates for loading up on nutrient-rich, filling foods that won't derail your calorie goals. His three-pronged strategy includes using these foods to bulk up meals, snacking on them between meals to manage hunger, and combining them with protein for lasting satiety.

Looking for a more effective way to strengthen your core and pelvic floor? Dr. Christy Ennis, DPT, has developed a comprehensive approach that goes beyond traditional Kegel exercises. "We're gonna get deep in there to help work that six pack a little bit and to support our back all without doing kegels," says Dr. Ennis, explaining how these carefully selected movements can help build foundational strength while protecting your spine.

Set Your Foundation Right

Start by finding your optimal position. "Before we get started with the exercises, we wanna make sure we've got our center set," Dr. Ennis explains in her post. Lie on your back, either on the floor or in bed, and gently rock your pelvis until you find a comfortable position. Draw your belly button toward your spine while maintaining natural breathing.

Begin With Controlled Marches

Middle age beautiful sportwoman smiling happy. Lying down on mat practicing yoga doing bridge pose at gymShutterstock

The sequence starts with gentle marching movements. "I'm raising just a little bit while still keeping those ab muscles engaged and not tilting that pelvis from side to side," Dr. Ennis demonstrates. This controlled movement helps activate your deep core muscles while maintaining pelvic stability.

Progress to Gentle Crunches

Crunches, High Intensity Interval Training or HIITShutterstock

With hands behind your head or crossed over your chest, perform small, controlled crunches. "I am not lifting up super duper high," Dr. Ennis emphasizes. "I'm trying to help protect that spine a little. And I'm really thinking about leading with those lower abs as I go."

Combine Core Movements

Merge the crunch with knee lifts for increased engagement. Dr. Ennis notes, "Upper body and my legs are moving, but that core, that center is really trying to stay nice and stabilized." This combination helps integrate multiple muscle groups while maintaining core stability.

Target Side Core Muscles

The oblique reach exercise adds rotational stability. Keep your gaze upward while reaching across your body, maintaining proper form throughout. "It's really important to make sure that you are focusing in on that form and how you're moving," Dr. Ennis advises.

Master the Single Leg Extension

This movement challenges core stability while protecting your back. Dr. Ennis recommends starting slowly: "If you are just starting out and new to exercise or back after an injury, make sure you listen to your body. I would start out with two to three non-consecutive days."

Practice the Struggling Turtle

Shutterstock

This modified dead bug exercise coordinates opposite arm and leg movements. "Dead bugs don't move," Dr. Ennis jokes, explaining why she renamed this effective core stabilization exercise. The focus remains on maintaining central stability while moving limbs.

Bridge for Multiple Benefits

Side view of young woman doing gymnastics the half bridge pose in fitness studio or home practices yoga warming up exercises for spine, backbend, strengthening back and shoulders muscles.Shutterstock

"Research has actually shown that even without trying to activate those pelvic floor muscles or those Kegel muscles, the bridge does a great job of helping to strengthen those muscles," Dr. Ennis shares. This exercise also helps with prolapse and hip mobility.

Flow Through Cat-Cow

On hands and knees, move through spinal flexion and extension. This yoga-inspired movement not only helps the pelvic floor but also engages the core through its full range of motion. "We're getting some nice movement through the pelvis, which helps that pelvic floor too," explains Dr. Ennis.

Challenge Yourself With Hover Work

The final exercise involves hovering your knees while in a quadruped position. "The abs have to work really hard here," Dr. Ennis notes. This advanced movement integrates all the previous work while challenging your core stability.

Remember: These exercises are designed to work together as a complete system for core and pelvic floor strength. As Dr. Ennis emphasizes throughout, proper form and gradual progression are key to achieving optimal results. Start with 2-3 non-consecutive days per week and build up as your strength improves.
