Alex Solomin is a personal trainer and nutrition coach who provides "no-nonsense fitness, health, and nutritional content" to his social media followers. "I've lost over 135 pounds and have made it a mission to educate and show others how they can live a healthy and happy life," he writes in his bio. In a few viral videos, he shares "the most important weight loss tips" and meals that helped him lose 135 pounds and keep it off.

1. Don't Undereat

The biggest mistake people make when trying to lose weight is trying to eat as little as possible, and then they get hungry and fall off track.

2. Instead, Practice Volume Eating

"Instead, focus on eating as much lower calorie food as possible while being in a calorie deficit. This is called volume eating, and it will make your entire journey so much easier," he says in the video.

3. Make This Protein-Rich Meal

In another video, he reveals one of his "favorite meals" that helped him lose weight. "Get a rotisserie chicken. Take all of the meat off, then put it into a large pan or a wok. While that's cooking, take a few unhatched chickens, make a scramble, and put it to the side," he says.

It Consists of Rotisserie Chicken, Cabbage, Mixed Veggies, and Eggs

"Then take some red cabbage, regular cabbage, and add it to the chicken. Then, take some soy sauce, some red magic garlic powder, and a spice blend, and add it all on top. Then, take your eggs and add them in for the final step. Take some mixed vegetables, mix them in, and let them cook. This meal is high protein and super filling," he says.

4. Don't Do Super Intense Cardio

The workout that he did to lose weight might surprise you. "I have lost and kept off over 135 pounds, and this is the only cardio that I did. I didn't run, jog, or do any kind of high-intensity cardio," he says.

5. Instead, Walk Every Day

"I simply walked every single day," he reveals. "I'm not saying higher intensity cardio is bad for you. It's absolutely not, and it has its time and place, but people discount the importance of walking just because it's so easy, and just because something's easy does not mean it's not effective."

6. Meal Prep

Another one of his "simple habits that will help you lose weight" is meal prepping. "Always have some kind of a cooked protein inside your refrigerator," he says.

7. Pack Your Lunch and Snacks

Another important tip? "Always pack food and some snacks to work. Non-negotiable," he says.

8. Eat Something Before You Go Out
